Terms and conditions
Version: 0.1 · Effective from: 4 November 2026 · Last updated: 4 November 2026
1. Operator and service
The CapyDrive service (the "service") is operated by TDPK Digital Group s.r.o., company ID 30120756, registered office Roháčova 145/14, Žižkov, 130 00 Praha 3, register entry: Městský soud v Praze, oddíl C, vložka 457534, e-mail [email protected] (the "operator"). The "buyer" is a person who orders paid content from the operator.
CapyDrive is an app for practising the theory questions of the driving test in the Czech Republic, made for foreigners. Questions are shown in Czech next to a translation into Vietnamese, English and Ukrainian.
The service is unofficial. It is not connected with the Czech Ministry of Transport or any other authority, it does not run exams, and no authority has approved it. The questions follow the database published by the Ministry of Transport (etesty.md.gov.cz). Official pictures and videos carry a link to the source and the date of the data.
2. What the service contains
Part of the service is free. The scope of the paid part is shown on the screen before purchase and in the purchase confirmation. The scope the buyer saw when ordering applies.
The service is for learning. It gives no legal or other professional advice and does not replace a driving school.
3. Account and licence
Paid content is tied to a user account. An account is created with an e-mail link or by signing in with Google or Apple. An account can be signed in on at most three devices.
The buyer gets a personal, non-transferable licence to use the content for their own learning. It is forbidden to copy, bulk-download, publish, sell or share the content with other people, or to share access to an account.
If the buyer seriously breaks these terms, the operator may block or close the account. This gives no right to a refund unless the law says otherwise.
4. Price and payment
The price is a one-time payment. Access to the content bought has no time limit for as long as the operator runs the service. Prices are in Czech koruna. Prices are final. The operator is not a VAT payer, so the price contains no VAT.
Standard price list:
- One pack (group A, group B, or groups C and D): CZK 199
- Two packs together: CZK 279
- All three packs together: CZK 349
The buyer pays the price shown on the payment screen before confirming the order. The operator sometimes tests a different price on randomly chosen accounts. The choice follows the account number, not personal characteristics. Nobody is charged more than the standard price they have already seen, and when adding more packs the buyer never pays more in total than the price of all packs.
Payment is made online by card or another method offered by the payment service Stripe, on its page. The operator does not see or store the card. A purchase confirmation is sent by e-mail after payment.
5. Start of delivery
Access to the paid content is activated right after payment. Before paying, the buyer ticks a box to confirm that they want the operator to start delivering the digital content immediately and that they lose the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days.
6. Withdrawal from the contract
A consumer can in general withdraw from a contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason (section 1829 of the Czech Civil Code).
For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, this right ends once the operator starts delivery with the consumer's prior express consent, the consumer was informed that the right is lost, and the operator gave the consumer a confirmation of the contract on a durable medium (section 1837(l) of the Civil Code). The confirmation is the e-mail sent after purchase. If the operator has no record of the consent or does not send the confirmation, the buyer keeps the right to withdraw.
A withdrawal can be stated with the "Withdraw from contract" button in the app Settings next to the purchase, or by e-mail to [email protected]. The operator confirms receipt by e-mail and reviews the request. Nothing is refunded automatically. If the withdrawal is justified, the operator refunds the payment by the same method it was received, without undue delay and within 14 days of the notice.
Beyond the law, the operator gives no contractual money-back guarantee and no guarantee of passing the exam. If it ever offers one, it states the conditions before purchase.
7. Defects and complaints
Digital content must match what the operator described before purchase. If it is defective, the buyer has the rights under the Civil Code. A defect can be reported to [email protected]. The operator handles it without undue delay.
A translation error can be reported on the question itself. A reported translation error is not by itself a defect that gives a right to a refund, because a translation is an aid (see section 8).
8. AI translations and the binding wording
The translations of questions, explanations and the glossary are made with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and may go through checks. Each translation carries a label that says how far the check went: machine translation without a check, a second AI review, or a native speaker. The label says no more than what happened.
A translation is only an aid to understanding. Only the official Czech wording of the questions and answers is binding; the exam is taken in it. Translations can contain mistakes.
The operator does not guarantee that the buyer will pass the exam, or that the exam questions will match the questions in the service. The question database changes and the service follows it; the source is shown with the content.
9. Liability
The operator is liable for damage as the law provides. It is not liable for the exam result, for the service being unavailable because of third parties, or for damage from misuse of the content, where the law allows liability to be excluded. This does not affect consumer rights that cannot be limited by contract.
Practice works without an internet connection from data stored on the device. Syncing progress, signing in and paying need a connection.
10. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy at /privacy/.
11. Complaints and out-of-court dispute resolution
The operator handles complaints at [email protected]. If no agreement is reached, a consumer can turn to the body for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes: the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), www.coi.cz.
12. Governing law
The contract is governed by Czech law. A consumer whose habitual residence is in another country keeps the protection of that country's mandatory rules. Disputes are decided by the courts under the general rules of jurisdiction.
13. Changes and languages
The operator can change these terms. A purchase is governed by the version in force on the day of the order. A change does not affect existing contracts to the buyer's disadvantage.
The Czech text is binding. The English text and translations into other languages are for information. If they differ, the Czech text applies.
